Teeth Whitening
Over time, your teeth can go from white to not-so-bright from coffee, tea, red wine, tobacco use, aging, certain medications and even trauma. Teeth whitening is a simple process that typically uses tooth bleaches (hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide) which break stains into smaller pieces leading to brighter teeth. It is important to talk to your Dr. Han before deciding to whiten your teeth, as whiteners may not correct all types of discoloration. While yellowed teeth will probably bleach well, brown teeth may not respond as well and teeth that have gray coloration may not bleach at all. Furthermore, whitening will not work on crowns, veneers, fillings, caps or if your teeth have become discolored because of injury or medications.
